~*~ Easter Dinner ~*~

Easter Dinner at the Deatsch's, Mmm, yum!

As is Easter tradition, smoked ham (delicious), salad and jalapeno cheesy broccoli casserole with all the other fixin's too, of course.

Faith Cavness, I am pretty sure she is an actual doll.

This year it was just the Deatsch's and the Crafts and the newest of Cavness's for dinner. The weather was really perfect and the kids all were awake and happy (remember how Abi spent last Easter dinner?) Who, but me would remember that? I'll give you a hint...

That's how. This year was much different though. She was focused on beating poor little Faith at collecting ALL the Easter eggs before the big kids got their turn. She did a pretty good job too, but something tells me Miss Faith might give her a run for her money next year!

See what I mean? They are off and Abi is doing work, but sweet Faith is still trying to figure out what's happening.

Abi, having not wasted any time this year, has as one can see collected every egg within plain sight all before the big kids got let loose. I might add that the time frame here was about 90 seconds....

Ahh, Lucy in her Easter finest. She looks springy.

Another Deatsch Family Easter tradition... the Easter egg on top of ol'smokey.

Poor Hayden broke his arm at school right before Easter and was lugging this giant heavy plaster cast around. Hard to tell in the small version of this picture, but that is AC on all fours so Hayden can climb on his back to retrieve the egg on top of the fence! That cast was a sure drag for Hayden, but I think it evened the playing field this year pretty well! He was such a good sport about it too. Poor guy.

Our attempt at getting a group shot of all the grandbabies before they dig in and we loose them to sugar...

...it didn't take long. Let the discovery and trading Begin!

This has become big business to these kiddos. Auntie Erin does such a good job of filling these eggs. Billy just discovered he got one of the highly prized Go-Go's.

He was super excited about that. It was a new twist this year. Abi just wants what she always wants... to eat all the candy immediately. Notice: mouth full.

It was a good day.

~*~Easter Morning 2011~*~

Hooray for Peter Cottontail! Would you believe that silly bunny found our house, again!

Emily James ~ 7 years old

Billy D. ~ 5 years old

Miss Squish ~ 3 years old

So let's dive right in shall we? This picture here, the one right above me, Abi is not pouting about the basket. Nope. She is in fact trying her hardest to disguise the marshmallow she snuck out of the basket as I was trying to get her to sit still for a quick picture. Be thankful I didn't post the picture that snapped about 3.5 seconds after this. Be very thankful. Looking at the pictures now I can see her right hand up there in the first one clutching what I am pretty sure is a giant Easter marshmallow, just moments later she shoved the entire thing in her mouth and was unable to continue smiling for pictures for about 5 minutes.

It's odd that the bunny always knows exactly what to get, just like Santa does..."but you don't make a list for the Easter Bunny." Emily says. This year, the year marked by Billy's 5th birthday, is all about Star Wars. He is a little obsessed with all things Jedi.

Look at those darling babies of ours, playing sweetly...It does happen on occasion.

Travis giving the thumbs up. I guess it was a well received holiday! Now to get dressed and off to Grandma Bette's for Easter dinner.

Broken Sprinklers

Just because I have no self control...

I mean seriously, could you resist taking pictures of this? One day she will hate me for it. I know I've heard it before, but for now she has no idea and that is okay with me. We will cross the "Squishy" bridge when we come to it.

PLAY BALL!

I am completely aware of how cliche it sounds when I say, "I simply CANNOT get enough of these pictures! I just want to eat him!" On that note, I will leave these pictures behind of the cutest, almost tiniest t-ball uniform ever worn. Mmmmm...Love.

By the way #4 (Billy's BFF, Ryan) is actually the tiniest uniform. Bubba makes a very close second though.

Batter Up!

Swa-ing batta, batta!
