The Sandlot

Looks like Travis caught him from the T-shirt gun!

Watching the roof open from the upper deck!

I love this picture...

Travis and Billy went for a boys night to the Diamondbacks game last weekend. Billy has been crazy for the movie Sandlot and all that it stands for lately, he wants to be Benny, and Travis thought this would be the perfect time to take him to his first "big show". They met up with Brian and Josh Getman and took the new Light Rail train to the stadium. I am pretty sure they had a great time. He certainly came home with enough swag! First it was bobble head night (Justin Upton), who knew, then a couple "treats" later, came a DBacks cap for Billy and Dad too, then Getman got him a bat and ball...Plus the train ride and the game...I think the kids head could explode. Travis took Billy to the Future Little Leaguers area where he actually stood in line for 30 minutes to get to play ball like a pro. There was a pitching coach throwing balls for the kids who got to hit and then play each position as other kids were hitting. I still can't believe my little Billy, the kid who always wants "to go home" did it! Billy had a blast. Even though it was originally planned to be a "guys night out" I think Travis had a pretty good time too.

Ahhh, FREEDOM!

So, I can officially say that Billy Deatsch is potty-trained! Oh Hooray! I am thrilled. I honestly thought I would be training both Billy and Abi at the same time. I am back to a one kid in diapers household for the first time in 2 years. Ahh, sweet freedom!

Here Comes Peter Cottontail....

Easter Morning at Grandma & Grandpa Deatsch's. A fun-filled feast for everyone! The kids had the traditional Easter egg hunt and we had...of course an amazing meal. Wouldn't expect anything less! After the eating (fabulous food and tasty treats) we had a little "entertainment." My Dad picked up a nifty little device while we were in Carlsbad last month, The Geyser Tube. It's a little tube you attach to a 2-liter of soda, fill with Mentos and voila - geyser. Instant entertainment. Especially for me, who had the pleasure of seeing this thing in action before and well enough to stand clear. Sorry about the shorts Trav! HA!
