It was an awesome Little League season and this is just another testament as to why... HDLL Day with the D-backs! Poor Squish didn't make the cut on this family adventure, but I think she still had a great time...A whole day with Grandma, alone. After dropping that baby girl off we headed downtown for breakfast at the new CityScape.
After breakfast we walked over to the stadium and ran into Baxter signing autographs. Billy immediately requested to meet him, he was pretty excited! Baxter signed his Bees hat and even got a little joke in.
Baxter's joke, he tried to keep Billy's hat, but it was too small.
Baxter has very nice penmanship...
Cutest boy EVER!
While Billy was getting his hat signed Emi was getting her face painted. She picked a glove with a baseball in it. A very appropriate choice. She loved to get her face painted, she will not miss an opportunity...I wonder what that says about her??
Paying homage...
The boys got to go walk out onto the field before the game...This is everyone lining up. They don't seem the least bit excited do they?
It was a fun filled day of all things ballpark treat-y,popcorn, hotdogs, ice cream, lemonade (basically a really expensive tummy ache) and of course Billy had to show off his skills in the Futures. He hit a homer, duh.
After the game all the kids got to go back down on the field and run the bases! There was just enough wait time for Travis to run into nearly everyone he knows and we managed to collect a crowd.
